An 'SMMA' or Social Media Marketing Agency, is an organization that specializes in helping businesses reach their target audiences through social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest.
What is a SMMA (Social Media Marketing Agency)?
A social media marketing agency, like enfluence Marketing Studio, sometimes referred to as an 'SMMA' for short, is an organization that specializes in helping businesses reach their target audiences through social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest.
These agencies are typically staffed with professionals who have an expert understanding of how to reach a target audience through these mediums, and how to create content that is engaging and useful to the user.
Social media marketing agencies help businesses create a strategy for their social media presence.
This typically includes:
Creating and managing engaging social media content like this Instagram Reel designed by our team
Create paid ad Facebook and instagram ad campaigns to reach a more targeted audience
Curate email marketing campaigns to drive more sales and/or education
Building stronger relationships with customers through engagement like the comments we’ve drummed up here
Optimize a company's content for search engine visibility on Google
Tracking analytics to measure the success of campaigns (We use Metricool for this)

Social Media Success Story
How a Sleep Coach Grew 14,000 Followers (and Her Business) with Reels
When the founder of Sleep Shore came to me, she was facing two all-too-common challenges: low visibility and minimal engagement on Instagram. Despite her expertise as a sleep coach, her message wasn’t reaching the people who needed it most.
Fast forward a few months, and her account has grown from 200 followers to over 14,000, gained millions of views, and converted that visibility into real business results. Here’s how we used strategic social media marketing to transform her brand:
The Challenge
The sleep coach struggled to grow her audience and turn engagement into meaningful business opportunities. She needed a strategy that would not only increase her visibility but also drive real results—sales, inquiries, and growth.
The Breakthrough Moment
It all started with my Reels Challenge, a 30-day program designed to help participants:
Use trending audio strategically to maximize reach.
Craft engaging hooks to replace generic text overlays.
Follow clear, actionable steps to create high-performing Reels.
With access to weekly trending ideas, niche-specific prompts, and editing tips, the sleep coach saw immediate results. Within weeks, her Reels were reaching thousands of viewers, and her follower count started to climb rapidly.
From DIY to Full-Service Management
In March 2024, she decided to take things a step further by hiring my agency to fully manage her Instagram account, freeing her to focus on her growing business. We implemented a custom strategy that included:
Reels with viral potential based on audience insights.
Consistent posting, hashtag optimization, and engagement strategies.
Leveraging Instagram Stories for direct conversions.
Results That Speak for Themselves
Through our collaboration:
Her Reels evolved from averaging 250–300 views to going viral multiple times.
Her account now produces content that consistently generates hundreds of thousands of views, driving significant profile visits and follower growth.
Most importantly, this growth translated into real business impact with increased inquiries and sales.
Here are just a few ways using a SMMA like enfluence Marketing Studio can be beneficial for your business:

A SMMA can not only help you create cohesive and effective branding, but also reach your audience faster than any other traditional forms of marketing.

What to Consider Before Hiring a Social Media Marketing Agency
Hiring a social media agency can be a strategic move for businesses looking to enhance their online presence, reach a larger audience, and achieve specific marketing goals.
Here are some key aspects to consider when hiring a social media agency. Save these questions before you decide to move forward with a social media agency.
Define Your Goals:
Clearly articulate your objectives. Whether it's brand awareness, lead generation, community engagement, or other specific goals, having a clear vision will help the agency tailor their strategies to your needs. There’s not an all-size-fits-one approach when it comes to social media marketing. That’s why it’s so important to be specific about YOUR business goals.
Research and Credentials:
Look for agencies with a solid track record and relevant experience in your industry. Check their portfolio, client testimonials, and case studies to gauge their capabilities. You can check out our track record at enfluence Marketing Studio here.
Services Offered:
Different agencies offer different services. Ensure the agency you choose provides the services aligned with your goals. This could include content creation, social media management, paid advertising, analytics, and more. You can view all of the social media services that we offer at enfluence Marketing Studio here.
Target Audience Understanding:
A good agency should demonstrate an understanding of your target audience. This is crucial for crafting content and campaigns that resonate with and engage your specific demographic. Ask your potential agency if they’ve ever worked with a business like yours.
Creativity and Innovation:
Social media is dynamic, and staying ahead requires creativity and innovation. Look for an agency that demonstrates a willingness to adapt to trends and incorporate fresh ideas into their strategies.
Transparency and Communication:
Communication is key. Ensure the agency is transparent about their processes, reporting, and results. Regular updates and clear communication channels help maintain a collaborative and informed relationship. At enfluence we send our clients monthly analytics using Metricool and highlight our top performing posts. We’ll also go over what’s NOT working so we can continue to optimize our strategy.
Budget and ROI:
Establish a clear budget and discuss it with the agency. Ask about their pricing structure and how they measure return on investment (ROI). Understanding the value you're receiving for your investment is crucial.
Platform Expertise:
Different social media platforms have unique dynamics. Ensure the agency is proficient in the platforms most relevant to your business. This might include Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.
Analytics and Measurement:
A reputable agency should provide insights and analytics to measure the effectiveness of its strategies. Regular reporting helps you understand the impact of their efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
Contracts and Agreements:
Review contracts thoroughly. Understand the terms, the scope of work, and any performance metrics. Clear agreements help avoid misunderstandings down the road. At enfluence Marketing Studio, we require a 3 month commitment and a 30 day notice. We are just as invested in you as you are with us.
Remember to conduct interviews with potential agencies, ask questions, and ensure there's a good cultural fit. A successful partnership with a social media agency can significantly contribute to your business's online success.

What are youtube shorts and what can they do for your business?
since we’ve started growing our Youtube Channel (you can subscribe here) we have seen crazy results come from a Youtube Short, versus a regular 20-30 minute Youtube Video. Here’s some proof.
Youtube Shorts have been buzzing around here lately but we haven’t paid too much attention to them. Our biggest audience comes from Katelyn (our CEO’s) Instagram Reels. She shares, on occasion, to TikTok but Youtube shorts have never really been a part of our strategy.
However, since we’ve started growing our Youtube Channel (you can subscribe here) we have seen crazy results come from a Youtube Short, versus a regular 20-30 minute Youtube Video. Here’s some proof.
As you can see above, Katelyn’s average video views have been very low, ranging anywhere between 30-50 views. (Grant it we are not marketing these videos right now, we’re simply building up the library and uploading videos)
But we uploaded the first youtube short yesterday, and not even 24 hours later, we’re seeing 236 views.
Katelyn made this Youtube Short from a repurposed Instagram Live video. Imagined if we actually took the time out to create something more creative and special just for Youtube shorts. Would it perform even better?
What are Youtube Shorts?
According to Youtube, Shorts is the spot to shoot, share, and binge short videos (think 60 seconds or less) on YouTube. It’s where you can go to start trends, try out a dance challenge, bring your hilarious ideas to life, and more.
So join in the fun and connect with fans and friends who will love what you’re putting out there. No fancy equipment needed, and no limit on what you can create.
Furthermore, people can find and watch Shorts on YouTube homepage, in the Shorts Tab on the YouTube app, and on your channel’s homepage.
Why get started with Shorts?
YouTube’s VP of Product Management described the video format as “a new short-form video experience for creators and artists who want to shoot short, catchy videos using nothing but their mobile phones,” and goes on to say, “Shorts is a new way to express yourself in 15 seconds or less”.
YouTube’s attempt at short-form video content isn’t a far cry from other ephemeral videos on social media, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories, Snapchat Spotlight, and even Twitter Fleets and LinkedIn Stories (RIP).
And short-form video is no stranger to YouTube. The channel’s first ever upload was only 18 seconds long.
But, what sets YouTube Shorts apart is its ability to convert viewers into subscribers for your channel, a must-do for brands and creators.
How to monetize YouTube Shorts
As a business owner or creator, you might be thinking, “How can I monetize YouTube Shorts?”. After all, many creators and brands use YouTube to bring in extra revenue. That’s because YouTube is the only platform (so far) that offers revenue-sharing to creators.
While this wasn’t always the case, we’ve got good news. Starting in early 2023, Shorts creators can qualify for the Partner Program, which means they can earn ad revenue from YouTube.
Shorts creators will need at least 10 million views over the previous 90 days in order to join the Partner Program. Once they’re in the program, creators will earn 45% of ad revenue from their videos.
The Partner Program is a pretty compelling reason to focus your short-form video efforts on YouTube. If you’re able to build an audience on the platform, you could be in for some serious cash.
What are the best practices when it comes to Shorts?
Straight to the point
Make the first few seconds of your video exciting and grab the audience’s attention right off the bat.
Think about replays
Shorts are played on a loop, so consider how your content will come across if it’s continually repeated.
Add value
Don’t just create for the sake of creating. Instead, give value to your audience through your Short and align the content with a goal, e.g., increase engagement by 10% or acquire 1,000 more subscribers.
Hook them in
What will make a viewer come back for more? Think about how you can hook in your audience to view your Shorts repeatedly.
Get the vibe right
YouTube Shorts isn’t the place for shortened versions of your long videos. Much like Instagram Reels and TikTok, Shorts is the place to give your audience short, snappy, and easily digestible content, for example, viral trends or behind-the-scenes looks.
3 Ways to Use Youtube Shorts
Grow your Channel: Use YouTube Shorts to promote and grow your regular channel. Every time you post a Short, it’s an opportunity for your content to get a view, and that view could turn into a channel subscriber or someone who engages with your main channel content.
Showcase less “highly produced” videos: Behind the scenes (BTS) video footage will give your audience a sneak peek into the background of your channel, brand, and products or services.
Behind the scenes footage can take on many forms. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Work events
Launches
Company updates
Workplace Culture
Little educational tips
Create bite-sized content: YouTube Shorts allows your audience to engage with your brand on the fly rather than commit the time to watch a full-length video. And because 5% of viewers stop watching videos after the one-minute mark, snappy, short-form content ensures that your audience watches until the end, receives all of your messaging, and engages with your CTA.

How to grow your Facebook Group organically in 30 days
How to grow your Facebook Group to its first 1000 members in 30 days or less!
Growing your facebook group can be a daunting task if you have no idea what you’re doing. Lucky for you, we’re the experts in social and we’re gonna show you how we grew our first 1000 members in 30 days.
First things first, the proof is in the pudding right?
So let’s start by showing you the proof of our growth. Below you will see a growth chart from Facebook. Our group has less than 100 members when I decided to run a specific and organic social media campaign using Instagram and Facebook, as well as our email list to grow the group.
Before we get into the growth campaign, let’s talk about WHY you should have a Facebook Group and what it can help your business accomplish!
Benefits of Having a Facebook Group
There are so many benefits to having a Facebook group, but here’s why I wanted to create a dedicated facebook group for enfluence Marketing Studio.
1. It’s the perfect place to build an engaged community of YOUR target audience.
2. You can build connections with like-minded people in your niche. (Hello, wouldn’t it be great to have a secluded group for you and your best friends to talk about that ONE thing you guys have in common)
3. You have the ability to grow your email list. (I require an email to join our group!)
4. You can collect free market research whenever you want.
5. It will boost your credibility and authority in your niche, especially if you’re providing ongoing value.
6. You can turn your group into a money-making machine. We SELL in our group.
7. You can provide value-driven offers to anyone that joins your group. This where I host most of my FREE trainings, that have now been added to my youtube channel.
How to grow your Facebook Group to 1000 followers in 30 days
To supercharge our Facebook group growth, I decided to run a dedicated campaign. I had to think how I could really provide value to all of my new members. What was going to attract them to my facebook group in the first place.
Create an irresistable offer to attract them to your Facebook group
What I ultimately decided on was hosting FREE instagram growth trainings in my Facebook Group. I knew that since I already had a large following on my Instagram page, sharing IG growth tips, I could cross promote my channels and pull that audience over to Facebook.
So step number 1: Brainstorm a valuable offer to entice new people to join your Facebook group. My offer was free trainings so I began my growth journey by offering a FREE WEBINAR: How to Optimize Your Instagram Page to Convert More Followers. You can watch the full training HERE.
Create on-brand assets to promote the offer
Once I had my offer in mind, I went into Canva and created a bunch of graphics to promote the webinar training. I put together a few carousels, static posts, and Instagram Story graphics. Then I storyboarded a few different Instagram Reel ideas to push the webinar as well.
Then I resized my Canva templates for Facebook and Linkedin, so I could share the webinar details over there too!
My timeline for pushing everything was two weeks. I would start promoting the training 2 weeks in advance to have ample time to market the training and grow my audience.
Here’s one of the designs we put together for Linkedin.
Cross promote the Facebook Group on your other Social Media Channels
Once all of my assets where in tip top shape, I started posting everywhere that I was active on social media. I posted a couple times per week to instagram and a few times to Facebook and Linkedin. I also jumped on my Instagram Stories and talked to my audience about the new Facebook Group and how I created this exclusive group to bring them more value and free trainings.
Dedicate an email campaign to the Facebook Group Growth
Once I started getting some traction from social media, I decided to hit my email list with an exclusive Facebook Group invite. I told my audience that I would be hosting a FREE training webinar that would teach them X, X and X and all they had to do was join the group and RSVP to the event. (This worked like a charm) I would say 50% of my new FB group members came from my email list.
If you’re not growing your email list, I highly recommend adding a Mailchimp opt-in form to your socials and inviting people to join your weekly newsletter. You OWN that list, unlike social media where you’re basically just renting your audience.
Drive people to a dedicated link in your link in bio store
At the very top of my Stan store, I have a dedicated link that invites new followers to join my exclusive Facebook Group. You can see what that looks like here. Every once in a while, I will change the call to action to say what our specific training is for that month, instead of just ‘FREE TRAININGS.”
BONUS: Promote a giveaway inside of the group, to refer friends!
Once we had about 500 members inside of our group, this was a good 2-3 weeks in.. we decided to offer our current members a chance to win a $100 gift card if they invited 5 of their friends. We only had about 5 people participate, but if you multiply 5x5 = that’s 25 new members and 25 new people to market to!
Consistent Posting and Engagement inside of the Group
It’s not enough to just pull people into your group, you have to be constantly engaging with them or the group will just die. I put together a marketing strategy where I would post 1-2x per week. (I didn’t want to post too much, just enough to provide value and keep them engaged)
I put together some content pillars such as #MarketingMondays and then a re-occuring Thursday post where I shared social media algorithm changes and updates. The Marketing Monday posts have been a real hit because people are truly learning new ways on how to improve their businesses marketing strategy. I have also made it a point to cross promote my new Youtube channel into the group, so I am posting once a week to drive people to past trainings and linking them to the youtube video.

4 Key Elements to get Your Instagram Profile Recommended
This is what it takes to get your instagram profile recommended to new followers.
Remember last year when everyone complained about recommendations on instagram? Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but they’re back.
Instagram recently outlined its three key areas of focus for 2023.
Those are:
Inspire people to be creative
Help people discover things they love
Spark connections between people
From a marketing perspective, a key consideration here is enhanced discovery. Meaning: show people more content from people and pages that they don’t follow.
The good news here? Your profile could start reaching a LOT more eyes now that recommendations are back.
This has become a key shift in approach for IG.
4 Key Elements to Get Your Instagram Profile Featured
1. Develop a style that remains consistent throughout your posts based on colors used, settings, stickers, emojis, etc. Establish what you want your brand look on Instagram to be, which will then help you build a more unique and definitive brand presence in the app.
2. Another big focus is short-form video via Reels, and that could well be the key to maximizing your IG performance. If you can come up with great Reels content, your chances of getting more reach on IG rise exponentially. (Join our Reels Membership if you struggle with Reels)
3. Captions: Lead with the most important information and use a consistent and personal tone
Essentially, captions that are concise, to the point, and encourage action will help your post perform better. Did you know our club enfluence membership has 100 swipe and steal captions?
4. Hashtags may not be as critical as they once were in the app, especially as Instagram continues to improve its AI-based recommendations, based on what you watch and engage with. But they do still play a significant role in discovery, and highlighting relevant content to users. You should be utilizing hashtags (up to 30) in every post.
Having trouble coming up with the best hashtags? We love using Flick.
Some other key posting notes to keep in mind:
Instagram tries to recommend content which is similar to the accounts that people have chosen to follow, so it may be worth conducting more research into what other brands in your industry are posting.
‘Freshness’ is important within Instagram’s algorithmic approach, which means that you need to be posting regularly to ensure that you’re maximizing your opportunities, posting at least a few times a week.
One last note here, getting recommended on Instagram means nothing if your profile isn’t 100% optimized.

A Tip from the Pros:
Engage with your audience. Don’t just post and ghost. Instagram is built to be a social app, this means the algorithm wants to see you liking, commenting, and reacting. Try to spend at least 15 minutes after you post engaging with your audience or on larger real estate accounts.
Most Importantly - Provide Value
Vale-drive content is how you're going to attract, encourage engagement and delight your audience. Providing answers to your customers questions and sharing information builds trust by setting you up as a pro in the real estate industry. Be honest with your audience - share what resonates with them.

The biggest mistake Realtors make on Instagram (and what you should do instead)
This is the biggest mistake Realtors make on Instagram and here’s what you can do instead.
It’s no secret, Realtors who utilize Social Media Marketing in their business plan, tend to sell more homes. I’ve seen Realtors with 1000 followers and Realtors with 100K followers who are killing it online because they are using Instagram and Facebook as a lead generation tool.
But one of the biggest mistakes I see most Realtors make on social is that they put all of their eggs in one basket and only SELL, SELL, SELL. Instead of muddying up your profile with listings, think of your instagram or facebook as a resource for people looking to move to your city or town.
What do I mean by that? Let’s break it down.
The Biggest Mistake Realtors Make on Instagram
It’s so important to post a mix of good, engaging content on instagram. You don’t want to bore your followers with the same old educational posts they can find on Google. “Here’s what you need to buy a home, here’s why your credit sucks and how to fix it.”
Yawn.
Instead, what really engages potential leads and followers is posting content that they CAN’T find on Google. Make your instagram a resource hub for your city. Here’s what I mean by this, keep reading.
1. Become the Digital Mayor
You want to be the digital go-to for your city. Let your followers know about local happenings, the best place to grab a burger. Share information about community get togethers. Is there a big 5K Run happening this weekend? Share about it! You can head to your stories and talk about it, or do a weekly roundup type post. Speaking of weekly round ups, let’s dive into that.
2. Share a Weekly Round up of Local Events
This will take some planning, but if you could do a weekly post of local happenings that are going on that week and actually tag the businesses and people involved, they’ll be more likely to share that post and get your content in front of THEIR followers.
3. Sprinkle in homeownership FOMO posts
Instead of the boring educational content on how to become a homeowner, tell them WHY they should become a homeowner. Share beautiful photos of home, give them home decor tips so they can see themselves living out the american dream of homeownership. Share stats about homeowners and buying verses renting. Show them what they’re missing out on.
4. Make the listing about the listing and not you
We see so many Realtors making their listings about THEM and not the actual listing. They want their picture bigger, their logo bigger. But at the end of the day, you’re there to solve a problem: helping them buy a new home. So don’t make the listing about you. There’s ways to subtly brand your listings so that people will start to learn your brand and know when it’s YOUR listing. Use the same brand colors and fonts every time, have your picture down in the lower right hand corner with your name and logo. But don’t make the listing about you.
5. Share Reasons to Move to your City
Sure, people can get online and research the town their interested in moving to and buying a home in. But what if they had an insider’s look at WHY they should be a part of your community? This is your time to make your town SHINE! What does your city stand for? What’s the weather like? Do you have something historically important about your town that others don’t? Share those fun facts and why it’s the best city ever.
The biggest advice we tell our clients: be a learn from me account not a look at me account. Share the best resources, be intentional with your content, and spread the hyper-local love! You will attract the right audience to your account and get better engagement when you speak their language instead of being the typical stock image, generic captions kinda Realtor.

Convert your Instagram Followers with your link in bio
Here’s how to convert your instagram followers into paying customers by optimizing your instagram profile and bio.
You know how to attract followers but you’re not sure how to convert them. Cool, we’ve got you covered.
Turning your likes into sales isn’t as hard as you may think, as long as you know how to optimize your instagram’s profile bio, specifically the link in bio. So we’re going to walk you through the most important steps here.
Optimize your bio with a link in bio tool
Your link in bio is an important component to having an optimized profile on instagram. This is where you are going to drive your audience and monetize your account. We love using a tool like STAN.STORE. Katelyn has her Stan.store set up like this. As you can see from the link, Katelyn is driving traffic to dedicated pages. This helps her audience identify specific services and products more easily, versus just sending them to her website where they could easily get lost.

Why use a link in bio tool?
Instagram only allows ONE link to be put in your bio. A link in bio tools allow you to bypass the one-link rule on Instagram and send followers to the pages and products you want to promote. These tools help you link to more content without needing to swap out that one link every time you have something new to promote.
Here’s a video to walk you through how a link in bio tool works and how Katelyn has her links set up efficiently to drive more traffic.
To make the most of your social content and drive traffic to where it matters, you need more than a single link in your Instagram bio. Create campaigns that drive traffic and engage your audience by using a tool.

How to get discovered on Instagram
Here are our top 3 tips to get discovered on instagram search! Use these surefire ways to get found on instagram.
Instagram is more than just a social networking app. Creators and business owners alike are now making it a full time job to influence and market their products. However, the biggest issue with this is actually getting their content seen. With our CEO reaching millions of users per month, we asked her for some of the best discoverability tips.
Here’s what she had to recommend to us.
Get discovered on Instagram with these 3 discoverability tips for Instagram search.
1. Write Descriptive Captions With Keywords
Until recently you could only search in Instagram Explore via hashtags, location tags, usernames, and profile names but now you can search using keywords. Users should be sure to write very descriptive captions as if they were writing for google search. What kind of keywords would you think users are searching for to help them find your post?
Pro tip: Try adding keywords to the bottom of the caption like you would a set of hashtags. I would use 3-5 so you don’t spam your caption.
2. Add Descriptive Alt Text to Your Instagram Posts
Instagram alt text is a feature that allows you to write custom alternative text for a richer description of your photos. You can manually input alt text when you create a post, adding valuable extra detail and keywords about your post.
Pro tip: To add alt text to a post, tap Advanced Settings at the bottom of the screen before posting.
3. Be Consistent With Your Niche
A major (yet simple) visibility tactic is to be consistent with your Instagram SEO practices. This type of consistency teaches both Facebook and Instagram who you are and what you offer — which means your profile and content will be served to relevant users as they browse and search within the app.
Pro tip: Plan out your content pillars so that you are consistently posting around the same topics everytime. If you’re not sure how to come up with content pillars we have an amazing overall social media strategy training that will walk you through content pillars and other best practices for growing your account. Get it here.

Photos will still be a thing: While there’s no denying that the platform will continue to prioritize Reels, we predict to see a bigger balance of photos on the horizon. Utilize the new music feature on photos to make your post POP!
Brand Partnerships: We predict that Instagram is going to double down on monetary incentives for creators to cash-in and turn their passion into a living. This will make brand partnerships and affiliate marketing on the app much easier for everyone to get involved in with features such as Collabs + Creator Marketplace <-- If you haven't seen this, google it.
UGC Creators are on the rise! In fact, if you look up the hashtag #ugccreator you'll see over 52K+ posts on Insta. Unlike historical User Generated Content (UGC) where content is created organically, a UGC creator creates content that looks like UGC — but it's been paid for. (Great for creators)
Video Memes: Memes will forever be a recipe for instant success — but in 2023, video memes are where it’s at. (It's like a Reel but it's actually a meme. Here's an example of a meme reel:
6. Boosted Content: We suspect that brands will be stepping up their boosted spend in 2023. While boosted content isn’t exactly new-year, new-me, it is a surefire way to extend your reach and improve visibility on the app.

How to Get More Shares on Social Media
When it comes to social media, likes aren’t everything. Shares mean that users felt inspired to share your content with their own followers, and then in turn their followers bring more traffic to your profile, and who wouldn’t want more traffic?
When it comes to social media, likes aren’t everything. You want to ensure that your content will leave a lasting impact. If you check your insights, they can also tell you how often your content gets saved and shared, which can ultimately be more meaningful. Shares mean that users felt inspired to share your content with their own followers, and then in turn their followers bring more traffic to your profile, and who wouldn’t want more traffic? Keep reading to find out how you can generate more shares!
Find Out What’s Trending
Discussing hot topics that are relevant and trendy will definitely help to bring some more traffic your way. Embrace memes and pop culture by putting your own creative spin on them! And if you’re struggling to find recent trends, Google Trends will share the latest stories as well as daily search trends. But don’t just aimlessly hop onto trends, contribute something unique, valuable, or insightful.
Be Relatable
A great way to build a connection with your audience is by being relatable or sharing something that aligns with their own experiences and values. Your followers and customers want to feel seen, so create content that appeals to them. Do some research and analyze your demographics; what does your target audience enjoy consuming on social media?
Grab Attention
Grab your audience’s attention with a killer headline or a even a (slightly) controversial statement! In other words, make the viewer interested in reading more. Some good headline ideas include numbered lists, guides, and how-to’s. If you want to take it even further and get a detailed analysis of how your headline ranks, try a headline analyzer to work on perfecting that hook!
Use a CTA
This one may sound pretty self-explanatory, but you can always directly encourage your audience to share your content with a simple Call-to-Action. But don’t make it too salesy, be fun and purposeful! For example, “Tag a friend who needs to hear this,” or “Save this for later!”

Instagram Stories are a fun, alternative method of sharing content with plenty of features to engage your audience. They show up at the top of your followers’ feed, which guarantees that you won’t be lost in the IG algorithm. Here are 12 Instagram Story ideas to capture attention in ways that your regular posts won’t:
Q&A
The question sticker allows you to ask your audience a question and receive open-ended responses. Alternatively, you can use it to initiate an “Ask me Anything” session and answer questions people may have about you or your industry. You can then use those responses to share onto another Story for everyone to view.
Pop Quiz
Use the quiz feature to quiz your audience’s knowledge on any topic. You can provide up to 4 possible choices but only one correct answer, and it will be viewable by participants immediately after guessing. Then, follow up your quiz by sharing a valuable lesson.
Daily Routine
Share some videos of a day in your life to build the relationship with your audience.
Share a Story
Seems fitting to share a story onto your Instagram Story, right? Record a video of yourself sharing a real-life experience you think will be entertaining, educational, or inspirational.
Motivational Quote
Everyone could always use a little motivation, so use your Story to share a powerful quote you think will make a difference in someone’s day.
Tag your Location
Stories allows you to tag a location, which will be viewable by anyone searching the location on the app.
Polls
Polls are likely to get you a lot more engagement than most features and they’re fun to participate in for everyone involved. Polls can be just for fun or to gain valuable feedback. Click here for more poll ideas!
Share Posts/Reels
You can promo any posts or Reels onto your Story, including your own. Use this to share content you love or bring attention to your most recent post.
Mini Tutorial
Use your Story to share a quick tutorial of the day. Keep in mind it will expire in 24 hours, so keep it simple!
Countdown
The countdown sticker allows you to add a timed countdown to a specific event onto your Story. Your followers can then turn on reminders and share to their Story as well. Use it to hype up an upcoming launch or event!
Ask for Feedback
If you need a second opinion on something, ask your followers and receive quick feedback! The best way to do this is by using the poll sticker so you can get clear results.
Sneak Peek
Another good use for Stories is to share an exclusive sneak peek of something such as a new product or service to get people excited.
Using Instagram Polls to Increase Engagement
Feeling like engagement has been down on your Instagram? Consider trying this social media secret: poll stickers!
Feeling like engagement has been down on your Instagram? Consider trying this social media secret: poll stickers!
Polls give you the opportunity to ask your followers a question and have them participate by choosing one of the 2-4 answer choices given. Your question can be fun, insightful, or even provide you with useful feedback coming directly from your audience. You may be wondering, “Why not just use the question sticker?” The question sticker, although a great feature used to receive open-ended responses, may deter those who see it as too much of an “effort.” Instead, offering choices will make it easier for them to simply tap and they can even see the results afterwards. Polls are overall much more likely to see higher levels of engagement, especially for smaller accounts, so don’t be afraid to use them!

6 Things to Look for in a Social Media Marketing Agency
When it comes to social media agencies, there are a dime a dozen. That’s why it’s so important to come to the table with high(er) expectations. Lucky for you, we’ve put together a list of what you should look for in a social media agency so that you can confirm you’re in good hands before turning over your marketing efforts.
6 Things to Look for in a Social Media Marketing Agency
1. They Know Your Industry or Are Willing to Learn It: The company you’re working with should ideally have a thorough understanding of your industry, your niche, so that they can create content tailored to your brand specifically. Or they should be willing to learn.
How we do it: We are experts when it comes to Real Estate Marketing, but when we get clients in dental or beauty, you can bet your bottom dollar we are signed up for the latest news and updates regarding those industries so that we position YOU as the expert.
2. They Have Powerful Tools at Their Disposal: A social media marketing agency should have tools to schedule out posts ahead of time, create and edit beautiful graphics, run ads, and very closely monitor data and analytics.
How we do it: enfluence loves to use Facebook Creator Suite but we also have memberships with Later, Flick, and Sprout Social, Canva Pro, MailChimp and Your Template Club. We want our clients to have the best of the best.
3. Communication is Quick and Efficient: A qualified agency should always respond in a timely manner, even if only to say, “I’ll review this email and get back to you by EOD!” If an agency goes silent and you can’t get the responses you need, there’s trouble.
How we do it: We have a rule at enfluence Marketing Studio. All inquiries should be responded to by end of day.
4. They’re More Proactive, Not Purely Reactive: They should be keeping up with trends and algorithm changes so that they can adjust their methods accordingly.
How we do it: We are subscribed to ALL the social media blogs including Social Media Today, HubSpot, Social Media Explorer, and more! We also take certifications with HubSpot and just recently finished a TikTok Masterclass valued at $3K! (Yes, we take education seriously.)
5. Proof of Successes: An experienced agency should be able to share testimonials and other examples of how their work has helped brands in the past.
How we do it: We have a dedicated success page HERE and HERE and you can see recent case studies on our services packet when you request more information.
6. Their Own Social Media Should Be a Good Example of Their Work: “Ugh, we’re just so busy working for our clients that we don’t have time to manage our own social media!” Sorry. No. You should be able to see real results on their social media channels. (Peep ours here)
How we do it: Katelyn has built a following of over 114,000 people who admire her expertise in social media marketing

Instagram Reels Adds Transitions to In App Editor
Have you tried the transitions feature within the Instagram Reels Editor?
The Transitions functionality in the Instagram Reels Editor allows creators to seamlessly blend clips together, making their videos look smooth, dynamic, and engaging. Transitions are the effects that help move from one scene to another without abrupt cuts, keeping viewers hooked and improving the overall visual appeal of your content.
What Do Transitions Mean in Reels?
Transitions in Instagram Reels refer to the visual effects that help you switch from one clip to another in a fluid and eye-catching way. Instead of jumpy, disconnected cuts, transitions create a smooth flow between different shots, making your Reels look polished and professional.
Why Use Transitions in Reels?
✔️ Keeps Viewers Engaged – Smooth transitions make your content visually appealing and less likely to be skipped.
✔️ Enhances Storytelling – Helps create a flow between different scenes, whether it's a tutorial, transformation, or behind-the-scenes clip.
✔️ Boosts Retention & Shares – Well-edited Reels with transitions are more likely to keep viewers watching till the end, increasing engagement.
Whether you're switching outfits, changing locations, or jumping from one idea to the next, transitions in Reels help elevate your content, making it stand out in the Instagram algorithm
If you haven’t seen it yet, open up your Reels editor and record a Reel with more than one clip. Now go to “edit clips” and what do you see?
You should see a + sign in between the clips! If you hit that button, you’ll get the option to add in transitions. Though there’s not a whole lot of transition options right now, you will see Zoom, Blur, Warp, Flare, Spin, and Glitch.
So let’s take a deeper dive into this new editing feature!
How to use Reels Transitions
When you go to “edit clips” you will see these two buttons. Click on transitions to see your options.
Now click the + button to add a transition in between each clip.
One you click the + button, you will see this pop up saying Choose Transition: Zoom, Blur, Warp, Flare, Spin, and Glitch.
How to Use Transitions in Instagram Reels Editor:
1️⃣ Record Clips in Segments – Plan where your transitions will go before you start filming.
2️⃣ Use the “Align” Tool – This helps you perfectly match up your next clip for a seamless effect.
3️⃣ Tap on a Clip & Select “Effects” – Instagram provides built-in transitions like fades, swipes, and zooms.
4️⃣ Manually Create Transitions – Use quick movements (hand covers, jumps, outfit changes) to create natural transitions without built-in effects.
5️⃣ Preview & Adjust – Fine-tune the timing to make your transition feel natural and smooth.
Reels Transitions Best Practices
Instagram Reels transitions are a fun way to spice up your videos, hold viewers’ attention and increase engagement. These fun transitions can work across any industry, from Real Estate to Retail, to Skincare and beyond. Here’s how you can use transitions to keep your viewer’s attention:
When playing with transitions, it may be easier to start with ONE or TWO of the same transition in your video. I personally think if you’re warping and spinning, you may throw your viewers off. So pick one and stick to that one for your full video the first time.
Use a transition after the first 3 seconds. This will capture the attention of your viewer right off the bat and keep them intrigued.
The zoom transition is the most popular transition right now on TikTok and Instagram and seems to be well liked by most viewers. I suggest trying that transition first!
Here’s an example of where you can use transitions on your instagram Reels.

An Instagram carousel is a post containing more than one photo or video, which users can view by swiping left on a post through the phone app. Desktop users can view a carousel post by clicking on the arrow button on the right of a post. Using Social Media for Video Marketing
Nowadays videos seem to be taking over the marketing world and even the biggest social media apps are encouraging video posts. So how do you know which platform suits you best? We’ll go over some of the best options in this article.
Nowadays videos seem to be taking over the marketing world and even the biggest social media apps are encouraging video posts. If you don’t believe us, here are some shocking stats: 55% of people watch online videos daily and a whopping 84% decided to make a purchase by watching a brand’s video, according to invideo.io. This source also reported that those who use video marketing get 66% more qualified leads per year and grow revenue 49% faster. So how do you know which platform suits you best? We’ll go over some of the best options in this article.
TikTok
Launched in 2016, TikTok is raking in up to one billion users as of 2022. Video lengths range from 15 seconds to 10 minutes and the content itself features dancing and lip-syncing to trendy audios, comedic skits, and much more on a never-ending feed tailored to your interests called the “For You Page.”
In 2020, Meta launched a similar video format, Reels, on Instagram and later onto Facebook in 2021. However, Reels only allows video lengths up to 90 seconds as of right now. Previously, Instagram included a separate video format for posts until head Adam Mosseri announced that all videos will be merging with Reels, which will allow more creative opportunities and reach. If you need help keeping up with the latest trends, sign up for Reels4U to receive 3 prompts in your inbox every week.
Facebook is also hugely popular for video, gathering about 4 billion video views daily, according to Yans Media. Their service, Facebook Watch, provides free video-on-demand for streaming and sharing videos. Along with the recent addition of Reels, Facebook supports video uploads less than 240 minutes, or four hours.
YouTube
Lastly, the Google-owned video sharing platform YouTube is great for longer videos, such as in-depth tutorials and podcasts. Videos on YouTube can easily get discovered through successful SEO and user recommendations.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t stress! Today it’s easier than ever to post high quality videos directly from your smartphone, all you need is a few tools. For hands-free recording, we recommend the Flipstik to stick your phone anywhere. And remember that EVERYTHING can be content. Record your work station, behind the scenes, tutorials, or before and after transformations!
10 Social Media Mistakes to Avoid
With so many social media myths out there, it can be hard to know what practices REALLY work. In this article we’re going to share 10 major mistakes that you may be making while managing your social media accounts.
With so many social media myths out there, it can be hard to know what practices REALLY work. In this article we’re going to share 10 major mistakes that you may be making while managing your social media accounts.
1. Posting too much
You may have heard elsewhere that you should be posting every day, or even multiple times a day to get noticed. While a consistent posting schedule is certainly helpful, you should be more focused on the quality of your content. If you provide great value to your audience, they will naturally want to engage more. Besides, posting TOO much can annoy your followers and cause them to unfollow!
2. Inconsistent goals/content
It’s important to develop an organized content plan with 3-5 predetermined topics and themes as part of your social media strategy, often referred to as content pillars. Keeping things consistent will help you avoid confusing your audience and help you build a solid strategy.
3. Not optimizing your profile
Optimizing your profile to its fullest potential is key to having customers find you and get to know what you’re all about. In order to optimize your profile, make sure you have a clear profile photo, a relevant username, and use searchable keyboards to your display name and bio.
4. Only talking about yourself
A common mistake most business owners make when marketing on social media is only talking about themselves. Consider following the 80/20 rule which states that 20% of your content should be promotional, while the remaining 80% is educational, engaging and entertaining. Sharing user-generated content is also a great way to include your audience while providing social proof.
5. Not knowing your audience
One of the worst things you can overlook is your own audience. Check your analytics to get a better understanding of who you appeal to and what their shared interests are. This way, you can continue creating content that they want to see.
6. Being unprofessional
It’s important to have fun on social media but always be mindful of how you are presenting your business. Remember to remain professional online as well and avoid things like disparaging comments about other businesses.
7. Focusing on the wrong analytics
Understanding your analytics can be a daunting task, so make sure you know exactly what to look out for. Instead of just focusing on your follower count, look closer into engagement rate and what content has performed the best. Read our ultimate guide to Instagram analytics here.
8. Comparing to others
A generally good rule to follow is to stop comparing yourself to others, especially on social media. Focus on what makes YOU special, and stop worrying about the competition getting more likes. Then, success will follow.
9. Copying others
A huge no-no on social media is copying or stealing content and presenting it as your own. If you ever want to share or curate online content made by others, make sure you always credit and tag the original creator or ask for permission if necessary. Making this mistake could get you into big trouble!
10. Not hiring a Social Media Manager
It may seem like an easy task to take on all of your own social media responsibilities. Spoiler alert: it is NOT. Keep in mind you will be creating weekly content, engaging with other accounts, and reviewing your analytics on the side all while running your business.
